How many calories should I eat per day?
Daily calorie intake depends on gender, age, weight, height and activity level. The TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure) calculator gives you an accurate recommendation for how many calories to eat – for weight maintenance, loss or gain.
What is TDEE and BMR?
BMR (basal metabolic rate) is the minimum calories your body needs at rest. TDEE is total daily energy expenditure – BMR plus calories from movement and activity. TDEE = BMR × activity factor.
How many calories for weight loss?
For weight loss, create a calorie deficit of 250–750 calories per day. A 500 cal/day deficit leads to about 0.5 kg loss per week. The calculator offers 250, 500 and 750 cal deficit options with weekly weight loss projection.
How to use the calculator?
