Frequently asked questions about NAP insurance
How is this different from the salary calculator?
This page estimates contribution splits on insurable income. The salary calculator returns a full payslip view: gross, net, contributions and tax together.
When should I use the social-insurance page instead?
Both tools estimate contributions. This URL sits in the NAP cluster for “calculate insurance” queries. The standalone social-insurance calculator is an alternate entry — pick one and compare with your payslip.
What is the 2026 maximum insurable income (MOD)?
Per ЗБДОО за 2026 г., ДВ бр. 68 от 28.07.2026, чл. 9: 01.01–31.07.2026 — maximum insurable income €2,111.64; 01.08–31.12.2026 — maximum insurable income €2,300. Select the period explicitly — no automatic “today” default.
What about health, UPF and work-accident (TZPB)?
You typically see pension (and UPF where applicable), health, unemployment and work-accident shares (often employer-paid). Exact rates depend on labour category and inputs.
Employee vs self-employed — which mode?
Use employee for employment contracts (employee + employer shares). For self-employed, enter an insurable base within the period min/max bounds.
Is the result an official NAP figure?
No — orientation only. Confirm filings with NAP/NSSI and an accountant. MOD periods: SG 68 / 28.07.2026, ZBDOO art. 9.
