PYTHON FOUNDATIONS / CHAPTER 01 / Learn / LESSON 08
Seventh class — Foundations finale. Today we do not learn new syntax. We assemble everything into one small application.
You already have: variables, types, BMI, conditions, a list, functions for BMI/BMR/category. Launch wants a clean console report — like a dashboard:
- the system name - a BMI line with the number - a BMR line (a whole number is fine) - a STATUS line with the category - HISTORY lines for each weight in history
The prefixes "BMI", "BMR", "STATUS", "HISTORY" help the lab (and you) read the output. print("BMI", round(bmi, 2)) passes several things at once.
Mini thinking structure (do not copy blindly): call the functions → prepare history → print system → print metrics → for over history.
Common mistake: breaking the working functions from lesson 06; forgetting the prefixes; or leaving BMR as a float without int(...).
The finale combines everything. BMR is resting energy (not TDEE). Success unlocks PROJECT COMPLETE and Launch App.
